Wanted

One Missing Muse

Last seen far too long ago. Known for whimsy, flights of fancy, terrible night-mares, sudden illuminations, and a wicked sense of karmic humor. Fond of inconvenient places for writing like showers and behind the wheel of a car. Hates being taken for granted or ignored. The muse will be obeyed and honored if she will deign to return.

Poet and Muse, Auguste Rodin, 1905

It's so hard to hang on to the muse. Even when you think it's with you, it can slide quickly out of reach. It takes so much work to dive through all the layers of ordinary consciousness to get to the deep stuff.
