Blue moon

Blue moon
You saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
Blue moon
You know just what I was there for
You heard me saying a prayer for
Someone I really could care for
And then there suddenly appeared before me
The only one my arms will hold
I heard somebody whisper please adore me
And when I looked to the moon it turned to gold
Blue moon
Now I’m no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
And then there suddenly appeared before me
The only one my arms will ever hold
I heard somebody whisper please adore me
And when I looked the moon had turned to gold
Blue moon
Now I’m no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
Blue moon
Now I’m no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own

The moon kept me up last night. I had to go outside for awhile and just stare up at it. I laid down on a blanket down and just loved the night and sky. I confess; I also got up and danced to the music playing in my mind. I wonder if this is what werewolves feel.

Song lyrics from Blue Moon by Rogers and Hart. I'm torn between Billie Holliday's and Ella Fitzgerald's versions for my favorite.

That's such a great song. I'd go with Ella ...but Billie is good too.

I love the old standards. Do you like Sarah Vaughn?

What a great idea! Let the moon take your thoughts and dance with them.
