Kindnesses

Today the womanchild and I planned some time together away from home, just some free time to relax and enjoy each other's company. We ate lunch with her boyfriend and just had a good afternoon, talking about colleges, majors, classes, and how she doesn't have to rush into major decisions. It was good for both of us.

When we got home, somebody had mowed my front yard. I don't know who. At first I thought it was my brother-in-law. He's been sorting out my husband's compulsively collected hoard of stuff, a task that's completely overwhelmed me. It was just logical to assume that he had mowed it, but it wasn't him. There was no note, nothing. Just a truly significant act of kindness. I haven't been able to get our cranky lawnmower to start.

After yesterday's pity party, I can just begin to realize just how much love we're receiving. It's humbling. It's amazing. It's uplifting. It makes me want to be a better, more giving person. And I am so, so grateful.

Thank you.

How sweet was that! Just what you needed, I think. For now, anyway...

Well well...there are still good people in this world. That was a very kind and thoughtful for that person to do for you.
I'm glad you enjoyed the time with your daughter.

Sorry....I didn't mow it, but my herd of goats got out of the pin for a few hours at your place and had lunch ;)
