Thanks, Sen. McCain

I just watched a video of John McCain's speech. It was definitely a class act. His graciousness and love of country touched me deeply, and he has helped me feel even more proud to be an American tonight.

He did give a gracious concession speech. I want to think he is truly a servant of the America he loves.

But when I think of Sarah Palin, it's hard for me to think kindly of him, even if he is gracious in defeat...

I agree, his concession speech was a class act. I've been reading the Newsweek Special Election Project on Sarah Palin. Seems we just got the tip of the iceberg insofar as she's concerned. Steve Schmidt apparently selected her, though it doesn't say much for McCain if he allowed that. But apparently Tina Fey's "I'm going rogue" was more accurate than anyone could have guessed. McCain and Obama both come off as decent men in the article. The same cannot be said of Palin. If you're interested, you can read more here: http://www.newsweek.com/id/167581
